

Developed in the early 19th century by Clement Clarke Moore, scholar and poet best known as the author of "The Night Before Christmas". The townhouse was a boarding house for sailors, a home for priests and their families, and countless waves of immigrants. Refurbished in the 1960s and became historic landmarks in the 1970's
